Equality PA Mourns the Loss of Maya Young

This past weekend, another transgender woman was murdered in Philadelphia. Her name was Maya Young. Maya was 25 years old. She grew up in Vineland, NJ and lived in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. Maya is the third transgender woman in Philadelphia murdered within a year. Continue reading.

Thank Gov. Tom Wolf for keeping nondiscrimination a priority

Today Gov. Wolf addressed the legislature and the people of the state about the budget and other issues that we face. In his speech Gov. Wolf said that we need to provide “economic opportunity for all” by protecting LGBT people from discrimination in housing, employment, and business and government services.
