Give OUT 2017

Give Out this year because we are Not Going Back

Recent history shows that LGBTQ people can make significant progress toward equality faster than anyone imagined–but we still have a long way to go. And now there are new forces actively trying to undo the advances we’ve made to drag us back in time. Equality Pennsylvania is here to say that we are Not Going Back.

That’s why we need your help on Thursday, April 20, 2017 to meet our Give OUT Day fundraising goal and keep us moving forward!

We are Not Going Back into the closet.
We are Not Going Back to being invisible in our daily lives.
We are Not Going Back to hiding in the shadows.
We are Not Going Back to adherence to rigid gender norms.

We have endured too much to turn away from the hard won victories and advances that the LGBTQ community has made in the last 50 years.

The first major LGBTQ protest in the United States happened on July 4, 1965 right here in Pennsylvania in front of Independence Hall. These days it’s hard to believe that our state was once a leader in the forefront of LGBTQ rights when you consider that we still lag behind many of our neighbors when it comes to protecting the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer brothers and sisters.

Equality Pennsylvania continues to fight forward for your rights because we simply are Not Going Back.

Will you help us to keep moving forward on April 20th by making a donation and meet our Give OUT Day fundraising goal?

We are Not Going Back to McCarthy era witch hunts.
We are Not Going Back to police raids on our gathering spaces.
We are Not Going Back to public health crises while our government remains silent.

Not Going Back. Fight Forward. Give OUT.
