National Transgender Day of Remembrance: A day to remember who we have lost

Naitonal Transgender Day of Remembrance-Equality PA Virtual VigilToday is the National Transgender Day of Remembrance. Today is the day to remember transgender people who have been the victims of violence that often turns fatal. Today is also a day to stand up for everyone in our community and be sure that no one is left behind, no one is invisible.

To honor the memory of women like, Diamond Williams who was brutally murdered in Philadephia, and the 238 or more transgender people murdered worldwide, Equality PA is holding a virtual vigil.

Please share this image on Facebook, Twitter, blogs and other social media pages today to spead the word about the National Transgender Day of Remembrance and the vigils that are being held around the state.

UPDATE: Diamond Williams was incorrectly identified as Diamond Phillips in this post and in an email earlier today. Equality PA apologizes for the error.
