PA Marriage Case, Whitewood v. Wolf, will proceed without a trial

Ted Martin, Executive Director of Equality PA says state made right decision to let case move forward quickly

Harrisburg – Ted Martin, Executive Director, Equality PA on the recent news that the lawsuit challenging Pennsylvania’s ban on marriage for same-sex couples, Whitewood v. Wolf, will proceed without a trial and be decided by the judge based on briefs alone:

“We are pleased that the state has agreed to allow the Whitewood v. Wolf case to proceed in this expedient manner. All committed couples in Pennsylvania should be allowed to share in the freedom to marry, and we hope the court will come to the same reasonable decision that the majority of Pennsylvanians have come to — that all families should be treated with the same dignity and respect.”

More the details of the case here at the ACLU of PA web site.
