Where do you want to live next year?

A message from Ted Martin, Executive Director, Equality PA:

I want to live in a place where I don’t have to worry about being fired from my job, evicted from my home, or turned away from a business just because of who I am. Most people would agree with that—but, unfortunately, that’s not where you and I live now.

Here in Pennsylvania it is shocking that it is still legal to discriminate against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. And while updating the law to include protection from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity won’t end discrimination overnight, we will have the peace of mind knowing that we have one more tool to make sure we are treated fairly.

So, if you want to live in a place where you have protection from discrimination, please support Equality PA with a contribution this year.

We made great progress this year on marriage and we saw more support for protection from hate crimes and discrimination than ever before in Harrisburg. However, we still have a lot of work to do, and we need your support to do it.

Your donation will help to make sure that we have the capacity to educate more people and more leaders on why updating our discrimination law is important.

Do what you can to help us be sure that you and I live in a place where we are all welcomed and accepted next year.

Donate here today.

Thanks for all you do,

Ted Martin
