Our Board comes from areas all across Pennsylvania. We are LGBTQ people and allies, business people and government workers, attorneys, writers, professional activists, non-profit leaders, and professors who are singularly focused on changing the landscape for LGBTQ Pennsylvanians.

Board members participate actively in making decisions on behalf of the organization and to exercise his or her best judgment while doing so, puts the interests of the organization before their personal and professional interests when acting on behalf of the organization in a decision-making capacity, and bear the legal responsibility of ensuring that the organization complies with the applicable federal, state, and local laws and adheres to its mission.

Board members make strategic decisions around the programs and services the organization offers, and make a personal, meaningful financial contribution to the organization and help raise funds for the organization’s programs resource those programs.

Prospective board members should be both donors and volunteers with the organization and can become involved with the organization by serving on committees and working groups.   Please contact governance@equalitypa.org for more information.
